What Actually Is the Game On Live Site?
Think of it as Glasgow 2026’s unofficial fan zone. Open daily until 10.30 pm, it’s built around a few key draws:
- Up to 12 hours of live Games coverage a day across three giant screens
- Rotating creative workshops (textile art, foil boat making, collage)
- Genuine hands-on sport — basketball, boxing, bowls, cricket, squash, and more
- Live performances and DJ sets from local acts like Awaz FM
- Local food and drink vendors dotted around the park
And yes — completely free to enter, no ticket needed.

Do I need to book?
No booking required for the Live Site itself — just turn up. Some individual sport sessions may have limited capacity on the day.
Is it suitable for young kids?
Yes — there’s a dedicated Sustain and Kids Zone with age-appropriate activities most days.
Can I bring my own food?
The Picnic Area is set up for exactly that, though there are also food vendors on site if you’d rather not carry a hamper across the park.
What if it rains?
(This is Glasgow, after all) Most activities continue rain or shine, though outdoor sport sessions may be adjusted. Screens and covered zones stay open regardless.
