The Glasgow International Comedy Festival (GICF) is coming back from March 12th to March 30th, 2025, promising to uphold Glasgow’s reputation as “the funniest city in the world.”
A Legacy of Laughter
Since its incorporation in 2002, GICF has been a strong feature of the culture of Glasgow both for world-famous comedians and new talents. The festival seeks to recognize the impact of comedy on Scottish culture and make it accessible to everyone.
Diverse Programming
The 2025 festival will have an assortment of styles in comedy: stand-up, improv, sketch, and alternative comedy. Headliners from previous festivals include Frank Skinner, Elaine C Smith, Susie McCabe, Ed Gamble, Kieran Hodgson, Fascinating Aïda, and Mark Nelson. Unique events such as square sausage tasting, comedy wrestling, live podcasts, and comedian rap battles also take place during the festival, so there’s something for everyone.

GICF makes use of more than 50 venues across Glasgow to bring comedy to a diverse range of audiences across the city. From small pubs to grand theaters, the reach of the festival ensures that every resident and visitor can participate in the fun.
