The “ambitious” 2025 program for Celtic Connections, Scotland’s biggest winter music festival, has just been launched. It will take place between January 16 and February 2 across 25 Glasgow venues and is the event’s 32nd incarnation. More than 300 events of folk, roots, and world music will be carried out, all of which include over 1,200 musicians from more than 20 countries. The festival is expected to attract over 110,000.
The series of events will be held in some of the most notable venues in the city: The Old Fruitmarket, Barrowland Ballroom, and Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The year is special because, for the first time, Peat and Diesel will be the first band to set foot on the Emirates Arena stage.
A new under-26s pass will be made available, offering reduced prices for many shows to the younger audience member. Tickets for the festival go on sale on 16 October 2024 at www.celticconnections.com.
The festival promises to warm up the cultural scene of Glasgow with interesting performances and experiences adapted for all music lovers as autumn nights get colder.
